St Charles Borromeo School receives activity books from NAB
School children at St Charles Borromeo School participating in the Better Buddies Framework this week received a set of Better Buddies Activity Books from The Alannah and Madeline Foundation's major sponsor, NAB.
Each student received a Better Buddies activity book, which consists of activities that can be completed by the students with their buddies.
"The activity books are a really valuable and an important resource provided by NAB!" said St Charles Borromeo's Better Buddies Coordinator, Sue Cahill.
"They provide a great way of encouraging our students to work together with their buddies. The senior buddies can help their junior buddies complete the activities in a friendly and caring environment," she added.
"The students have already started working through their activity books and our junior buddies love having their senior buddies there to help them!"
St Charles Borromeo is one of 800 schools who have implemented the Better Buddies Framework in their school since 2007. So far this year, NAB has provided each new school with a set of purple 'Buddy Bears' to launch the program and will continue to provide each Better Buddies school with resources throughout the year.
"Our students love the Better Buddies Framework," said Sue. "Better Buddies has been instrumental in encouraging our students to work together and care for one another. It really has helped create a positive and friendly environment in our school."
In Term Two NAB will also send a special 'We are a Better Buddies School' sign to all existing NAB Buddies for them to take down to their school.
