As part of Book Week celebrations, Better Buddies students across Australia can now design their own unique bookmarks.
Students can personalise their own bookmarks by dressing Buddy Bear in the colours of the school uniform or design Buddy Bear to look like them and their buddy.
The bookmarks provide a fantastic way of encouraging students to work together and share stories throughout Book Week.
The Alannah and Madeline Foundation Manager, Prevention Maree Stanley, said the bookmarks were created to add to the fun and excitement of Book Week.
"Better Buddies Book Week has been implemented to coincide with national Children's Book Week. This year's theme is One World, Many Stories, so we've worked closely with our proud partner NAB, to develop something that will promote the enjoyment of reading and provide our buddies with a fun way of communicating with each other," Maree said.
"We hope the bookmarks provide an avenue for buddies to engage in activities based around literacy and books - this includes reading, writing and illustrating books, as well as talking about characters and themes."
Information for teachers to learn how to create the bookmarks is located in the teachers' section.
