School children at Old Orchard Primary School participating in the Better Buddies Framework this week received a set of Better Buddies Activity Books from their local NAB Buddy, Marlene Strain.

Each junior and senior buddy received a Better Buddies Activity Book, which consists of activities that can be completed by the students with their buddies.

Marlene presented the books to the junior and senior buddies and they worked together to complete the colouring in and noughts and crosses activities.

NAB Buddy, Marlene Strain of NAB in East Melbourne, said that she was delighted to have the opportunity to work with Old Orchard Primary School in helping create happy and caring environments at the school, "It's fantastic to visit the school and present the activity books to the Better Buddies students.  My children attend Old Orchard, so it's great to be able to help make a positive impact on the culture of the school."

Marlene went on to say "As a major Australian Bank, we understand that we have a responsibility to face into the issues that impact the health and safety of our communities. By managing the issue of bullying, rather than pretending it doesn't exist, we look to turn the table on these negative behaviours which we know have lasting impacts on the lives of many Australians."

Vice Principal, Chris Hodder, concluded the presentation by thanking Marlene and NAB for their support, for providing their Better Buddies students with their new activity books, and invited Marlene back to the school later in the year.

All Better Buddies students will receive Better Buddies Bookmarks from NAB as part of their Book Week celebrations in Term Three.
