Richmond Football Club visits Ashwood School

One of our wonderful partners the Richmond Football Club have paid a visit to a lucky Better Buddies school in Ashwood, Victoria.

Players Shaun Hampson, Shane Edwards and Kamdyn McIntosh visited the Ashwood School students to talk to them about the importance of Better Buddies and ensuring they know how to stay safe online.

The Richmond players were joined by The Alannah & Madeline Foundation’s eSmart Schools Program Manager Judi Fallon, who talked about Better Buddies and challenged the Richmond players to an eSmart Digital Licence activity with the students. The footballers took part in an abbreviated version of the eSmart Digital Licence – led by Mrs Fallon – with students answering questions enthusiastically.

The school, which teaches students who have mild intellectual disabilities, said it was thrilled to have Mrs Fallon and the players visit the school. All three players said they enjoyed the activity and added that they learnt a few things from the quiz as well.
